Turkish manufacturing, and the next YAKU chapter
YAKU’s manufacturing roots are in Turkey. Discover the packaging components we make today and the thinking behind our planned UAE chapter.

At a glance
- YAKU currently manufactures packaging components in Turkey.
- The UAE opening and a UAE manufacturing facility are planned next steps.
- A clear specification connects manufacturing experience with a buyer’s actual requirement.
A small metal component can sit at the meeting point of several much larger decisions: the material being packed, the strap being used, the way a team works and the journey a finished load will make. That is the part of packaging that interests us at YAKU.
Our background is in Turkish manufacturing. We currently produce buckles, clips and related metal packaging components in Turkey, building on a longstanding manufacturing history. As we prepare for a new chapter in the United Arab Emirates, that production base remains the starting point of our story.
A manufacturing story told through the component
Industrial packaging rarely gives a buckle or clip the attention given to the product inside the pack. For a buyer, however, a clear component description is essential. Two buckles can share a nominal strap width while using different wire diameters. Two metal closures can look similar in a photograph while requiring different straps or tools.
That is why our website gives space to the details. Our galvanized wire buckle range separates nominal strap width from wire diameter. Our sheet metal clips distinguish the clip material from the plastic strap it joins. The intention is practical: help a buyer ask for the same component their production or packing team expects to receive.
A manufacturing background becomes useful to a customer when it makes the conversation more precise. A photograph is a starting point. A part number, a clear dimensional description and an agreed application are what allow the enquiry to move forward.
Turkey today, the UAE next
YAKU is preparing to open in the UAE, with a local manufacturing facility planned. These are future developments. Our current manufacturing activity is in Turkey; the UAE facility is not yet presented as operational.
We see the next chapter as an opportunity to bring our manufacturing background into closer conversation with buyers in the region. Purchasing teams may be sourcing for an established packing line, reviewing an alternative component or preparing an export order. In each case, the first useful question is the same: what needs to be specified before a reliable quotation can be made?
We will share concrete developments as the UAE plans progress. Opening dates, operating locations and production capabilities belong in that conversation when they are established. A planned facility is an important direction, and describing it accurately is part of building a lasting business relationship.
The catalogue and the manufacturing scope
Our catalogue brings together metal packaging components and strapping materials. These should be understood at product level. Our Turkish manufacturing background concerns buckles, clips and related metal components; it does not mean that every listed strap or accessory is manufactured by YAKU.
Woven strap and PET strap are offered on request. Their specification, supply availability and suitability for a proposed joint need to be established during the enquiry. The same discipline applies to origin, packing and lead time: the quotation should answer the requirement for the actual item being ordered.
This distinction helps a buyer understand both the company and the purchase. A broad catalogue can be useful, while an individual order still needs a precise description of what will be supplied.
Experience should make the next order easier to understand
The purpose of this journal is to make our approach visible. Alongside company updates, we explain the questions behind a practical buying decision: why wire diameter is not a load rating, what makes a useful RFQ and how a closure needs to be considered with its strap and tool.
These are also the foundations for our next chapter. We want buyers to recognise YAKU through the way an enquiry is handled, the clarity of the product information and the care given to an agreed specification.
If you are reviewing a packaging component, start with the product catalogue and our RFQ checklist. Then share the part number, strap details and destination. That gives our conversation a concrete starting point, wherever your next order needs to go.
